Jason Segel Will Not Star in Muppet Sequel

According to reports from  United Kingdom Press Association, Jason Segel confirms he will not star in the new Muppet movie.  According to the article, he will still be involved in the project on some level, but not in a writing or starring capacity.

New Muppet Movie Is In the Works

New Muppet movie is in the works. James Bobin, director of The Muppets, and Nicholas Stoller, co-writer of The Muppets, have been assigned the task of writing the script for the new movie.

Jason Segel was integral in bringing The Muppets back to the big screen and was not only the star of the movie but was also a writer of the recent Oscar winning film. At this time, his involvement in the movie has not been confirmed.
